joining in. Anyone who knows Mike Leach of Creativity Travel
would certainly be surprised to see him armed with a wooden spoon
at the cooker!
Holidays in Tuscany
Perhaps you would like to stay in a lovely hotel in Chianti and spend your time exploring the beautiful area, and enjoying the fabulous food and fine wines. During your stay you could choose to learn some Italian, paint or enjoy a History of Art lesson, enjoy a guided excursion to a local food market, wine tasting or olive oil/balsamic vinegar tasting. A third option in this little family group of hotels is an amazing converted mill, a few minutes drive from Radda near to Gaiole in Chianti. The mediaeval mill situated on a little river in beautiful natural surroundings, offers a wealth of surprising architectural features, delightful rooms, a wonderful restaurant, situated on the terrace, where the chef is happy to prepare dishes at your request, including the famous fiorentina ( t-bone steak ) which you can choose yourself from the local butcher ! - You can even have a cookery lesson with the chef, who will take you through, step by step, some of the traditional Tuscan recipes. Outdoors, in the former mill pool, is a modern swimming pool, which can be used by any of the guests in the above three hotels.

Biagio, built in 1518 by Antonio de Sangallo, and one of the
best examples of Renaissance architecture. It is pleasantly
situated just below the town walls of Montepulciano from where
you can enjoy the lovely Tuscan countryside with its grapes
vines and olives trees. This is a peaceful place, where each
room is individually decorated, with small lounge areas, luxurious
bathrooms with Jacuzzis. The service is excellent, and
the delicious breakfasts, which start the day, are surely 'heaven
on a plate'

with the magical experience of visiting hilltop towns, dining
